Sylvia Hamilton uses cognitive behavioral therapy in working with clients. Her clients are encouraged
to acknowledge personal triumphs and successes as they engage in self-exploration. Sylvia has the belief
that we all can become overwhelmed by stressful events, strained relationships and unexpected situations that can adversely
affect our ability to cope with an ever changing life experience. As a psychotherapist, Sylvia
guides clients through positive encouragement, challenging ineffective thinking and behavior patterns, identifying
and implementing effective coping strategies. The goal of therapy is to assist clients in adjusting their attitudes,
developing effective coping strategies that will lead to problem resolution and positive changes in attitudes and behavior. .
